Update on the redevelopment of our website and two opportunities to get involved

December 15, 2023

Since our website was co-created by our community and launched in October 2020 what we do and what we offer as a Collective has grown and developed in ways that could not have been anticipated when we started on this journey.

It became clear from feedback we received from the community via the 2022 end of year survey and other conversations that we have outgrown our current website. Over the last few months with the involvement of the communications sub group we have been redeveloping the website to better reflect what Co-Production Collective does and make it even easier for members of our community to get involved. With the support of our website design agency Big Lemon we feel like we have come up with a website that will hopefully grow with us as we continue to develop what we do in line with our new co-produced strategy ‘Our Direction 2023-2028.’

These are some images of roughly how the website will look on mobiles and desktops. Please bear in mind these are using staged holding images from photo libraries for now which will be replaced with images from our activities so will be much more reflective of our community and are activities once the website is ready.

You will see the new site has new pages dedicated to what we do in the areas of training, consultancy, research and talks. It has also a new get involved section where there will be dedicated pages on:

  • Co-Pro Cuppas
  • Co-producing ourselves (Includes 'Current Live Co-Creation Projects'- which will have individual project pages which will look the new Measuring Success webpage)
  • Being a co-producer on commissioned projects (which will Include projects pages like the Measuring Success webpage)
  • Publishing something with us
  • Accessibility and ways of working
  • Our policies
  • Current opportunities message board

Get involved in testing our new website

We are now looking for 6 people to test the website alongside our communications sub group and staff team. We would like a mix of people who are new our community and who have been involved for long time. If you would like to be paid, we are able to offer £25 per person for an hour of your time to look at this. If you are interested in doing this please email coproduction@ucl.ac.uk saying how long you have been involved in the Collective by 9am Thursday 21 December so we can send you the testing site before the holidays and get your feedback early in the new year.

Give your feedback to our new 'Join us' form

As part of the redevelopment of the website and in response to feedback we received from our 'End of Year Survey 2022' and the co-producer programme we are currently designing a new 'Co-Production Collective Join us form' as a way for people to sign up to be part of our community and to let us know what parts of our work they would like to get involved in. The idea is that the information we get from this could potentially be used to:

  • To understand more about our community
  • To be able to better proactively approach people about co-producer opportunities
  • To be able to better understand our community members and work out what there needs may be (ie people involved for a long time may need a different offering to new people)
  • To enable us to better reflect on and report on our activities which will help us to apply for funding opportunities etc.

We are now looking for 6 people to review the proposed form in the new year and give their feedback. We would like a mix of people who are new our community and who have been involved for a long time. If you would like to be paid, we are able to offer £25 per person for an hour of your time to look at this. If you are interested in doing this please email coproduction@ucl.ac.uk saying how long you have been involved in the Collective by 9am Thursday 21 December
