Ethics Guidance
The ethics guidance focuses on the ethical aspects of collaborating with people outside traditional academic research settings, such as people with lived experience and the public. Developed together by UCL Engagement and the Co-Production Collective, it aims to address researchers' concerns and help grow their confidence in navigating ethical complexities. The document offers guidance on ethical approval and emphasizing ongoing dialogue and collaboration, and provided insights to researchers in diverse contexts.

Safeguarding Statement
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility - co-producing policies and processes that are fit for purpose and embedded in our trauma-informed culture is part of us as a community living up to our core values and practicing what we preach. Knowing how we ensure people are and feel safe during Co-Production Collective sessions and how we as a community (and the Co-Production Collective staff team) respond to risk of or actual harm that takes place either as a result of our sessions or as a knock-on effect is essential to every member of our community.
We co-produced a Safeguarding Statement with the support of our Safeguarding Working Group and the wider community. You can read more about how we developed this statement in our blog.
The statement sets out our approach to safeguarding and the procedures we need to follow to ensure that everyone feels safe when involved in our work.
Before embarking on any co-production project with the Collective we ask that you read the statement and agree to abide by it.
