Our 2024 Community Survey is now live, please take part and help shape the Collective

Why we are conducing this survey

Two years ago, we launched our first End of Year Survey to help us understand how our community engages with the Co-Production Collective and to explore what else we could do to reach more people and remove barriers for those getting involved. Over 100 people filled out the survey and the feedback that you shared helped us identify these key areas to work on together:

• A review of our website and communication channels to further remove barriers to participation
• Finding a way to make it easier for people to share what they would like to get involved in and to participate in our activities.
• To take action to ensure people feel safe and comfortable to express themselves within the community.
• Amplifying our voice with the help of the Communications Subgroup, the Allies Group (our advisory group) and your support.

We found it so helpful that we decided to run the survey every two years and have renamed it our Community Survey.

About this year’s survey

As well as finding about your experience of being part of Co-Production Collective, this year’s survey explores:

• How well you think we are living up to our values of being transparent, kind, inclusive, embracing of change and reflective, and what we can do to further improve this.
• What else we can do to champion co-production for lasting change.
• What we else we can do to support the personal development of our co-producers.
• How we can enhance our Co-Pro Cuppas.

Whether you have recently heard about us, attended one of our training sessions, or are a long-standing member of the community who has helped shape Co-Production Collective, we would love to hear from you.

Complete our 2024 Community Survey

The survey is anonymous and should take you about 15 minutes to complete. It has been designed in sections with many of the open ended and personal questions optional. We are using Microsoft Forms which has an immersive reader to be more accessible. However, if you would find it easier to engage with it in a different format or would like help to complete the survey please just ask by contacting us on coproduction@ucl.ac.uk

For those of you for whom co-production is not part of your paid job we can offer £20 to up to 40 people who request this as we have a limited budget for this project. If you would like to claim payment, please email coproduction@ucl.ac.uk with the title ‘Community Survey 2024' and let us know that you would like to be paid and we will email you back about how we can do this and what we need from you.

What actions resulted from the last survey we conducted

To help you see why it’s helpful to fill out this year’s survey, this what we did as a result of the last survey we conducted:

• Varied the times of our Co-Pro Cuppas to enable more people to attend
• Set up a Communications Subgroup with five co-producers who have been supporting us with our communications ever since.
• Reviewed our website and are currently working releasing our new website in January. This has a lot more detail about what the Collective does and makes it easier for people to see how they can get involved via a new page dedicated to current opportunities.
• Designed a community joining form for the new website which will make it easier for people to share what they would like to get involved in with the Collective.
• Developed our anti-racism focussed work.
• Set up a LinkedIn account and organised a co-produced LinkedIn training that was so popular we are offering a the second one in January. You can reserve your ticket on our Eventbrite page.
