December team update: Celebrating 2022

It is December 2022, we know it has been a tough year for everyone but we wanted end the year by thanking you for all your incredible contributions to Co-production Collective and look back on what we have achieved together. As well as many co-production trainings we have held and co-creation sessions we have taken part in, this year has been a year when internal and external projects that have been in development for many months (and in some cases several years), have been launched including:

• The ‘Value of Lived Experience Learning Report’ May 2022’ that we partnered with National Voices and the Health Foundation’s Q Community to create
• Our co-produced Payment Policy
• ‘The Value of Co-Production' report and our Library of Resources.

We have also taken steps to build on our foundations to create our new ‘Co-producer programme’ and have taken the first steps to becoming an anti-racist community.

Thank you for all your ongoing support whatever form that takes and here’s to 2023.

End of Year Survey

As previously mentioned, we are putting together an end of year survey so that we can find out more about your involvement in the Collective and what more we can be doing to reach more people and remove barriers to getting involved in what we do. We are looking for people to help us shape this survey so if have an hour to spare and would like to get involved please email g.halfin@ucl.ac.uk by 15:00 (UK time) on Monday 5 December.

Library of Resources

This week, after many years in the making we launched our long-awaited Library of Resources which includes webpages, reports, videos, books, journal articles and much more on all things co-production plus a section with a range of anti-racism resources that we included as part of our commitment to being an anti-racist community. We hope you enjoy using it and find it helpful. If you have any suggestions for what else can be included in it, please let us know coproduction@ucl.ac.uk

Co-producer Programme

21 people have signed up to help develop the set-up phase of the Co-Producer programme which will run until March 2023. Over the next two weeks they will be taking part in three working groups looking at:

• Recruiting co-producers: inclusive practices and processes for setting up projects
• Ways of working (and mutual expectations): developing a framework and processes for project work and evaluation
• Development, support and working together: building a safe, compassionate culture and approach to working

We will be keeping you up to date about these conversations via Twitter and a blog/our newsletter so if you have anything to add to these conversations please do.

Co-Pro Cuppa Conversations

We will be having our final Co-Pro Cuppa of 2022 on Thursday 8 December at 14:00 (UK time). If you have not had the chance to sign up, we have still have a small number of places left so it would be lovely to see you.

Booking is also open for January, February and March and we are experimenting with different times to allow to see if this helps more people to join us who wouldn’t otherwise have been able to. You can sign up to join us at our events page.
